53 | Video/Action for Saffron City

[As if the Pokémon Centers being destroyed yesterday wasn’t enough chaos, Cobra Commander’s decided to launch an attack of his own today. The video feed displays the entrance to the Saffron City Gym, and no, he didn’t ice over someone’s door again. Instead, a Hyper Beam from somewhere behind the camera blasts the doors open. And if the Gear signal wasn’t enough evidence as to the attacker’s identity, Cobra Commander yelling orders probably is.]

Excellent! Now that the entrance is breached, attack! Attack!

[Several of Cobra’s more loyal Pokémon, like Arbok, Abomasnow, and Skarmory can be seen heading through what’s left of the doors before the feed cuts out.]

{OOC: Network responses will be during the attack, and for action, feel free to confront him either inside the Gym where he’s making a mess of things or while he’s trying to make an escape. Just let me know which one!}

[Not so fast, Cobra! Guess who's jumping out in front of that Abomasnow and putting up her fists?

Thaaat'd be Ace, and she's gonna attempt to use Force Palm to slow him down.

The Hyper Beam hits out of sheer dumb luck, and Quake angrily retaliates by using Earth Power. Flare takes a moment to Roost while keeping his eyes locked on Cobra.

When Riku gets Slashed, Blade rushes over to him, throwing yet another angry fit! She might not have a type advantage, but she'll happily nail Strato-Viper with another Superpower. Bad bird! You're not like Gear at all!

In the mean time, Riku forces himself back on his feat. After taking three attacks now, he's definitely running out of steam. He's getting a little nauseous as the read splotches on his skin spread. What the heck...?]

[Despite the utter disaster that gym attack turned into, Cobra's completely willing to stop and yell at whoever this guy is.]

Don't you whoa hey me! Get out of the way if you know what's good for you! And get out of my Pokemons' way too!

[Shockingly, Cobra Commander has learned something today. That being that it really sucks to be on the receiving end of a super effective attack. Luckily, he wasn’t paralyzed, but still, ow.]

[That almost looks like some of the side effects from the experiment, but this guy’s definitely not a Rocket, right? It's not like the Commander has time to be wondering things like this anyway!]

[Not that it’s noticeable over the shouting, but he’s pleased by the response. Backing away from him and his army of Pokémon is definitely the reaction he wants from people.]

That’s right! There was a lot of harm done to the Gym! To the gym and to anyone who dares get in my way!

[And that is probably a threat. A somewhat empty one since after the Gym battles, he's running low on healing items for his Pokemon, but a threat nonetheless!]

[Cobra Commander doesn't see anything ridiculous about this at all. It's actually pretty minor compared to some of the stuff he's done back home.]

I wanted attention? Of course, I wanted attention! There's no point in doing things like thissss if no one pays attention to it!

So attacking is just for attention and nothing else? That's pretty idiotic if you ask me... though I guess for some people, especially the ones with no appeal, that's the only way to get seen.

[ Oh, Cobra. Bahamut and Axel are used to fighting with each other. Once he is finished with his Swords Dance, Bahamut rushes in front of Axel to take the Rollout and negate the damage with his typing and tough defense. Despite his size, he's speedy, and so quickly moves out of the way at that Gunk Shot before charging an Outrage at that Arbok.

Hey! Hey! Don't count her out just yet! Those wings on Tiamat's body aren't for nothing! In fact, to avoid that Air Cutter, Tiamat literally spins laterally as she runs with her trainer before performing a quick Double Team to up her evasion. Xion's getting really close to you, Cobra! ]

[While dark type moves aren't particularly effective against Ace, the attack does knock her outta the way. Well played, Cobra.

Thankfully for Strato-Viper, the Sand Attack does make it considerably harder to attack, but that's not gonna stop Draco from spamming some Flamethrower and Thunderbolt.

At this point, Blade and Flare are hurrying over to Riku, who clutches onto his head. His eyes have turned red, and his teeth are aching.

Still, he manages a dry remark.]

If it is contagious... then I hope you get it.

[What the -- he just left Saffron City! Forget that, he (finally) got to this Kanto place, shit got serious, Centers are blowing up ~~he's not feeling 100%~~ and NOW THERE WAS A GUY BLOWING UP MORE SHIT.

[Not that there needs to be a purpose for spreading panic and destruction. But if some of this involves testing of someone's new elemental powers, Gorthan would like to be informed.]

[It just happened to be the only Psychic Gym around for him to test out his Dark-Type mutation on. He didn’t even have a grudge against the leader or anything like that. ]

[The Flamethrower misses, but the Thunderbolt manages to clip Strato-Viper’s wings, sending it spiraling towards the ground.

Having successfully attacked, Cobra’s going to take this moment to recall Pawniard and Hypno from wherever they dropped.

There are multiple purposes for thisss! First and foremost, testing out these wonderful new powers. Second, procuring additional rare Pokemon for Team Rocket, if anyone in here even has anything worth taking! Third, adding additional funds to my wallet! And I could go on and on!

So then, I should launch another attack once everyone settles down?

[Because he can totally do that, Crow. And that's sounding like a really good idea.]

I was already planning to launch a sssecond attack, but thank you for giving me an idea of when to ssstrike!

I only destroyed the doors, there's a very good reason for this assault, I don't care if there's living things inside it, and there certainly are, and the part of it that sssseems right is the part where I decided I wanted to attack a Gym today!
