[As if the Pokémon Centers being destroyed yesterday wasn’t enough chaos, Cobra Commander’s decided to launch an attack of his own today. The video feed displays the entrance to the Saffron City Gym, and no, he didn’t ice over someone’s door again. Instead, a Hyper Beam from somewhere behind the camera blasts the doors open. And if the Gear signal wasn’t enough evidence as to the attacker’s identity, Cobra Commander yelling orders probably is.]

Excellent! Now that the entrance is breached, attack! Attack!

[Several of Cobra’s more loyal Pokémon, like Arbok, Abomasnow, and Skarmory can be seen heading through what’s left of the doors before the feed cuts out.]

{OOC: Network responses will be during the attack, and for action, feel free to confront him either inside the Gym where he’s making a mess of things or while he’s trying to make an escape. Just let me know which one!}

With her upped evasion, Tiamat just roars in amusement before performing a Work Up. It's at the moment when Cobra says that last command does Xion finally reach him. ]

[Oh, crud! Riku's eyes widen, and he throws himself to the ground in order to block the stone... which hits Flare instead. Wonderful.

But despite his aching head, Riku gets back on his feet, stepping closer to his flaming dragon.]

[Quake is gonna try at least one final attack but Ace is already retreating towards the other Pokémon. With Riku in pain, it's better that they leave rather than risk any more injuries, really.

Even Draco stops spamming fire and lightning after Ace barks at him a little. He glares and beats his fists against his chest, but slowly floats to the rest of the group.]

[ Xion rolls to recover from his move with a grunt. And, oh, damn, Cobra, she was holding onto another pokeball which held...

There's a loud roar and a large shadow looming over them now as a Gyarados trains its red eyes down at Cobra Commander. Seeing the fight and sensing danger for his tiny trainer, it doesn't take long before Lancer the Gyarados jerks his head side to side as his fangs glisten with ice. Thanks for getting him out in the middle of your Blizzard, Cobra! Xion's Lancer is going to use Ice Fang and aiming straight for Cobra's Skarmory, type neutrality be damned.

In the midst of the chaos a Gyarados likely would summon up, Xion's Hydreigon makes a very Scary Face at Cobra's Sand-Viper, using her many heads to great effect in hopes of distracting the Dunsparce from his attack. Meanwhile, Axel will use the distraction to target a powerful Flamethrower at Ice Viper and Bahamut's still charging at that Arbok. Who will be the winner?!

Clearly this guy isn't going to stop. That's it. Xion's charging right back at Cobra again, hands balling into tight fists. She's small but speedy, Cobra, think fast! ]

[The Faint Attack does make Flare falter. Luckily, his typing and level make it so he can at least withstand the attack.

And... Flare is just gonna zip outside, too, stopping right in front of the door.

Really, Riku's expecting Cobra to flee, but it is pretty fun to mess with him.]
