[So instead of an audio tirade, there’s a short, simple text from Cobra Commander being sent out on the Rocket channel. After checking the PC this morning, he’s definitely not in the mood to talk to anyone right now.]

It seems that a number of Rockets are no longer with us. If any of you have recently received a Pokémon from one of them, please respond stating who it belonged to. I’m aware of at least four departures, and if there are more, it needs to be reported immediately.

[Now to try and not throw the PokéGear at something while he waits. Given that he’s already thrown an office chair, his helmet, and various papers around the room, there’s a good chance that the PokéGear’s next.]

I have Kato's Steelix. I had a feeling something was wrong when he wasn't in his lab by the afternoon hours. Almost every trace of his existence is gone from the base.

Who else is missing?

In addition to the good doctor, we've lost Frank Archer, Solf J. Kimblee, and Ryuunosuke Uryuu. There may be more, I'm still waiting to hear if there have been any more disappearances.

I am aware that mass disappearances happen at times, but we've never lost so many of our own at once.

I will call around the bases to see how much of the science department is intact.

What in the world indeed. I find it hard to recall a similar incident in the entire time I've been here.

[Because sad to say, this is one of the few times he's actually going to miss some of the disappeared.]

Descole is gone as well, and the woman named Caroline disappeared earlier last week. I believe that leaves myself and that Dimitri fellow as the only non-natives in the department. This is ridiculous. Completely and utterly ridiculous. We could not afford to lose those great minds, and that means something coming from me.

[Seriously, he's actually being modest for once. END OF DAYS?]

Certainly this cannot be mere coincidence?

So that's six total. High ranking officers, scientists, grunts. If it were merely the first two, I'd think someone were trying to cripple the organization, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Either way, we're really going to need to pick up the slack now, especially with the science department out of so many scientists. This is such a disaster...

I'm honestly surprised that our superiors haven't said a word about this. Come to think of it, I don't believe I've heard from any of them directly for quite some time.

I wouldn't be too concerned with that. They have a habit of going dark for long periods of time. It's most likely unrelated to the current problem.

[Of course, if he were running things he'd be contacting everyone about this and demanding to know what was going on.

It's been months since I've spoken with them, and yes, I have personally met a few of our superiors.

[While this new information is rather eye-opening, Dist didn't find much harm in the lack of communication until now. He was given free range of the labs and was allowed to work to his heart's content, so there wasn't much to complain about.]

Months, you say? I'd say it's been nearly a year in my case, close to when I first arrived in this world. I didn't even speak with him directly.

Let me put it this way. They're exactly what you'd expect the people running this organization to be like.

Did they say anything useful or interesting? Honestly, I would be lying if I said that I'm not a little curious about what they think of us non-natives.

Nothing I can recall at the moment. From what I've seen, their opinions on us vary. Some of them seem to be more sociable than others.

[He's actually had a decent conversation with Petrel. He can't say the same for the other admins.]

Oh? So nothing too concrete. That's somewhat frustrating, but oh well.

I do hope they decide to show their faces again, especially during a time like right now. They've lost a good chunk of members, after all.
