43 | Private Audio/Video for Team Rocket

[After spending the past few days working through his files and finally learning how the Pokegear version of Caller ID works, Cobra Commander is ready to present his findings. So around this time, he'll be sending out an audio broadcast on the Rocket only channel.]

The following is a list of targets and my recommendations as to what should be done about them.

[The video feed clicks on showing a single page document.]

High Priority Targets (These targets are believed to be an immediate threat to any plans. They should be eliminated on sight unless otherwise noted.):
-The two who disabled the bombs. One goes by the name of Athrun Zala. The other is named Shinn Asuka.
-Lightning Farron: Has apparently threatened Team Rocket. May or may not be working with a group. Verify whether she is or not before eliminating.
-Roy Mustang: Opposed the Magnet Train operation. Military experience. Possesses all eight badges. Approach with extreme caution.

Others Worthy of Investigation:
-Minnie Mouse
-Crow Hogan
-Isaac McDougal
-Emmy Altava

Once again these are only my recommendations, but if someone were to act on these, by all means go right ahead.

Either way, the video feed will come up easily; Descole isn't exactly in the shot - it's more like his shoulder and maybe half his still-masked face, because he still hasn't learned How Not To Hipster Angle, but it's definitely within the labs, judging by the lighting and the background. He's working on something, judging from the soft metallic sounds near the 'Gear, but whatever it is, it's not within view of the camera.

His voice is calm when he speaks, however. Easy.]

And am I to assume you got this list of names through personal experiences with them, or do we have someone else to thank for this?

Both. Most if it comes from the data I've collected from my various ssschemes, but some of the names were supplied by your fellow Grunts.

[One Grunt anyway, but never mind about that. That sure is an interesting view of Descole and whatever it is.]

Ah, following through on a few personal projects, my good man, nothing more - my scientific pursuits tend to be focused rather more on the mechanical end of things, rather than biological.

[He pauses for a moment, shooting a quick glance at the Gear.]

I'm actually curious about exactly where you got one of those names - you see, Emmy Altava is a bit of a...rival of mine, you could say. What has she done to be on that list of yours; has she aggravated you personally, or has she been causing problems for your informants?

[That could be useful in the future depending on where his skills like. He'll just file that away for now.]

I was told by an extremely reliable source that she's likely to cause problems for our group in the future. I haven't sssspoken with her personally so to what extent, I don't know.

Minnie?

Remove her from that list at once, Cobra Commander. Minnie is the most harmless individual I know. And I can vouch that the Team's past attempts at terrorizing her to inhibit her obtrusion have been more than sufficient.

Eliminating on sight would cause unnecessary attention to us, would it not? Better to keep an eye on them and attack them when they least expect it.

Her name will remain on the list! At least until an investigation is made into whether or not she's capable of mobilizing people against us! And that's final!

But in my personal opinion, I think it would do much more for our organization to make them into public examples.

If they're as big of a threat as you make them out to be, it may not be as easy to take them out. Better to silently deal with them, and then make a public show of it once they've been detained, don't you think?

That could work, but in the past Team Rocket has had...problems with keeping people detained. That's one of the reasons we had to relocate from Mahogany to Goldenrod.

[Or at least he thinks it's one of the reasons. For all he knows, they just liked Goldenrod better.]

If that's how you want to handle these people, then go ahead. Just don't be ssssurprised if ssssomeone else decides a more direct approach is needed.

As to the criteria, they've either directly foiled my plans, interfered in another Rocket's plans, sworn to do so, or were given to me by a highly trusted source.

I had little choice. If Team Rocket is to continue to grow in Johto, these obstacles must be removed! As soon as possible!

A highly trusted source? I see. I've managed to gain some trust from three names on that list. I'd much rather use them to their fullest extent before executing them, but I'll be sure to lead them in the opposite direction of any future plans we hatch.

Might I ask that her removal from that list be left to me, then? Again, the rivalry and all...it would be a bit of an insult if anyone else were to, ah, deal with her.

You seem like a trustworthy fellow, so I'll let you in on a little secret. Roy Mustang and I go way back. We were friends, but I died in my world due to him. You could say I have a personal vendetta against him. I've made sure that he believes all has been forgiven. He's been here far longer than I have. It won't be so easy to bring him down. He was Brigadier General in our world, after all, and he's made plenty of friends with similarly powerful people here. Plus, he's made it clear that he is very much against Team Rocket. I believe he may have information I could use.

Do you want people following these "recommendations" of yours or not? I'm volunteering, my friend. Looking a gift horse in the mouth isn't exactly the greatest idea, in most circumstances.

If you can work it out with the rest of the Team than he's yours, but if he's really that dangerous, then perhaps you shouldn't work alone.
