[The following broadcast from the Commander is audio only, and he is definitely not in a good mood about things. Then again that’s what happens when he expects victory and instead gets defeat. Especially when said defeat was seen by an entire stadium’s worth of people.]

Allow me to make one thing perfectly clear: that idiot won out of luck, not sssskill!

[He is of course, referring to his tournament match against Crow Hogan. Which was won using a smart strategy, not luck!]

Luck! That’s all! There’s no way he could’ve have beaten me otherwise! No way! And not one of you had better say anything different! Or else! One thing’s for ssssure though, I’m going to enjoy watching his next opponent, whoever it may be, wipe the floor with him!

I'm well aware that he's nothing more than a pest! But a pest who causes me public embarrassment is still a pest that needs to be wiped out! And what's this about a plan? What are you up to? Should I vacate the area?

I'm not striking Vermilion, if that's what you're concerned about. Just putting something in motion regarding this little organization of heroes that we've been bothered by in the past, that's all.

After all, I stand by what I said before; I intend to see them defeated as well. Not yet, but soon.

I would take it from the standpoint of no news being good news for the time being, Commander; at the same time, if they have been working on something, surely a few more assaults on the population will be enough to get them to show their hand.

Or it means that they're at a loss. We haven't given them anything that they know how to counter; I can assure you of that much.

I've heard as much from Lightning Farron herself. Trying to infiltrate her organization directly does have quite a few perks, it turns out.

How do you know that she's telling you truth? She could be using you to ssspread false information back to us. I've ssseen it happen before.

I didn't get the impression that she was lying to me; if anything, it would be in her best interests not to.

Keep an eye on the network during the final days of the tournament, and you'll understand, I think. I'll be able to explain more in-depth then.

For all of our ssssakes, I hope your analysis is correct. At thisss stage, we can't afford to be compromised by faulty intelligence. And due to my recent elimination, it sssseems I have little choice but to wait and sssee what happens.
